What you need
- A Google account that owns the YouTube channel
- The site owner has added a Google OAuth client (Admin > Site settings > YouTube)
- ffmpeg installed on the server (needed to turn the generated post image into a short video) - ask your host or the site owner
- Google API compliance audit: until it is passed, videos uploaded by unverified API projects are locked as private
YouTube has no API for Community (text) posts, so only video uploads are possible. Titles: 100 characters, description: 5,000, up to 15 hashtags. Each upload costs 1,600 API quota units (about 6 uploads/day on the default 10,000-unit quota).
How to connect
- Click "Connect with Google" below and sign in with the account that owns the channel.
- Approve the YouTube upload permission.
- Choose the privacy for new videos in the schedule options (private, unlisted or public).
- Every scheduled post creates a short vertical video from the generated image and uploads it with your caption as title and description.
